Shopify apps and storefronts

Custom Shopify apps for indie brands and growing retailers. Private apps for back-of-house automation, public apps with billing and OAuth, headless storefronts on Hydrogen, theme customization where it makes sense. Built so a non-technical merchant can run the day to day.

Shopify CLI · Polaris · Liquid · Hydrogen

The problem

Indie brands and growing retailers needed Shopify automation that off-the-shelf apps could not deliver. Subscription costs of multiple apps eclipsed a custom build; back-of-house workflows demanded private apps; storefront performance demanded headless when content outranked stock themes. Most agencies treated every store the same and shipped slow themes with retainer agreements.

The approach

We built private apps that automate back-of-house (inventory sync, order routing, supplier integrations), public apps with proper Shopify billing flows and OAuth, headless storefronts on Hydrogen for content-led brands, and theme customization where it earned its place. Every build is structured around the merchant operator running the day to day; we are not on retainer for store maintenance, and the merchant updates content without us.

Stack and engineering choices

  • Shopify CLI app development
  • Polaris admin UI
  • Liquid theme work where useful
  • Hydrogen + Remix headless
  • OAuth + billing flows
  • Back-of-house automation
  • Merchant-run after handoff

Outcome

Merchants run their stores themselves with the back-of-house automated. Headless storefronts outrank stock themes on Core Web Vitals and conversion. Subscription cost of replaced apps amortizes the build inside a few months, and the merchant is not locked to an agency for daily updates.
