How we choose engagements

Independence means we can pick engagements where the engineering matters and the operator on the other side respects the work. There is no producer pushing a deal to make quota.

Concretely, we say yes when:

  • The buyer can articulate the problem in plain language
  • There is a single decision-maker who will be available during the build
  • The deadline is real, not theatre
  • The team values engineering rigor over speed-at-any-cost

What we take on

Engineering quality is the throughline, not the industry label.scope / verticals

We work across verticals. Healthcare integration, AI agents, ops platforms, e-commerce, marketplaces, fintech, energy, logistics, education, esoteric and community platforms, automotive, dating, gaming, AR and VR, real-time video and messaging, and the long tail of niches we have not listed.

If your problem rewards careful work, we are interested.

Standards we hold ourselves to

Not a marketing list. The actual rules we apply on every build.

Every code change ships with tests in the matching test project. CI green, or it does not merge.
We self-review before we ask for external review. The reviewer is not free debugging.
We document the why, not just the how. The runbook explains the failure modes we have actually seen.
We bill and budget by hours, with weekly burn caps so the invoice never surprises you.
We hand over what we built so your team can own it. Codebase, dashboards, decisions, in writing.

On AI tooling

We use AI tools internally for code, research, and review. We are explicit with customers about which artifacts were AI-assisted, and we never ship AI-generated code into production without human review and tests. Vendor-agnostic by default; we will not lock you into a single model provider.
