Brand site for a pioneering AR and VR studio
Public brand site for one of the longest-running AR and VR development studios in the United States. Showcase of immersive case work, interactive 3D and WebGL teasers without taxing the page, careful performance budget so a content-rich site loads on a weak conference Wi-Fi, structured pages for client industries and partnerships.
The problem
One of the longest-running AR and VR development studios in the United States needed a public brand site that showcased immersive case work. Stock themes could not handle interactive 3D and WebGL teasers without taxing the page; content-rich pages had to load on weak conference Wi-Fi; the site needed structured pages for client industries and partnerships. The previous site failed all three constraints.
The approach
We built a custom WordPress theme with WebGL teasers loaded with intersection observers (no work until visible), interactive 3D set-pieces with framerate budgets, video CDN for case-study clips, careful performance budget, and structured pages for client industries and partnerships. Editors update case studies without breaking the visual budget because every block enforces its own constraints.
Stack and engineering choices
- WordPress custom theme
- WebGL with intersection observers
- Interactive 3D set-pieces
- Video CDN distribution
- Performance budget enforced
- Industry + partnership pages
- Editor self-service updates
Outcome
A content-rich site loads on conference Wi-Fi without compromise. Editors keep the case-study library current. The site signals technical depth to prospective clients without becoming a performance liability the moment a 3D scene loads.
