The problem
An early-career engagement built an online casino platform with a game lobby, account management, deposit and withdrawal flows, RNG fairness logging, KYC, responsible gaming controls, multi-currency wallet, and regulator-aware audit trails. The bar was high because regulators audited everything and players watched every cent. Cutting corners on audit-trail design or financial integrity was not survivable.
The approach
We built a classic web stack with strict separation between the wallet, game RNG, and player session. KYC ran at signup with age-of-account checks; responsible-gaming controls let players self-exclude or set deposit limits; multi-currency wallet maintained ledger integrity across currencies; the audit trail recorded every game outcome with cryptographic seal so regulators could replay any session.

Outcome
The platform passed regulator audits and operated through multiple gaming jurisdictions. Player trust held because the RNG fairness log was independently verifiable; responsible-gaming controls protected players who needed them. The lessons in audit-trail design, financial integrity, and adversarial UX still inform how we build today.
